NEWS WE'RE READING

What started as casual kitchen-table conversations between two friends has grown into a nationally distributed supplement brand.

Olean-based UpRight Nutrition, founded by Deon Gayton and Christopher Wagner, is launching its children’s multivitamin in nearly 500 Sprouts Farmers Markets stores nationwide.

The product stands out for its unique, toy building-brick–style packaging, designed to appeal to both kids and parents while setting it apart from traditional vitamin bottles.

The founders spent more than a year perfecting the custom container and manufacturing process.

Both Gayton and Wagner left established businesses to pursue the venture full time, taking on significant personal and financial risk.

As parents, they emphasize transparency and quality in their products, a focus that helped turn a local idea into a major retail success.

Barbara Arnstein focuses on capturing natural beauty in her photography, emphasizing the fleeting moments of butterflies and cherry blossoms.

Her current exhibit at Ellicottville Memorial Library includes images from Glen Park, showcasing scenes of nature such as ducklings, waterfalls, and serene landscapes.

She is an active participant in the regional arts scene, regularly displaying her photography at various events.

To see more of her work, visit her Facebook page under "Barbara Jones (Barbara Arnstein)." Stop by the Ellicottville Memorial Library to view her exhibit and explore the inviting community space.

The exhibit will remain on display through June 30, 2026. Visit ellicottvillelibrary.org for more information.
