LOCAL SPORTS

The men's basketball locker room at St. Bonaventure is undergoing renovation and reconfiguration to provide upgraded facilities for the team.

City Cup Softball Tournament Celebrates 50 Years

The Olean City Cup Softball Tournament is back for its 50th year! The milestone event will take place August 8–10 at Bradner Stadium and Forness Park, bringing together teams and fans for a fun weekend of competition and community spirit.

 

Team registration is now open. The deadline to enter is Thursday, August 1, at 4 p.m. Rosters and the $225 team entry fee must be submitted to the Youth and Recreation Office, Room 109, Olean Municipal Building.

 

For men’s teams, players must compete with their current league team unless officially released. For women’s teams, each league team may add up to two non-roster players.

The Buffalo Bills will host their Return of the Blue and Red practice at Highmark Stadium on Aug. 1.

Tickets for the general public will be available starting Friday morning on Ticketmaster.

Parking is $5, with proceeds going to the Buffalo Bills Foundation.

The parking lots open at 3 p.m., gates at 4 p.m., and practice starts at 5:30 p.m.

The Bills' training camp begins at St. John Fisher University in Rochester on July 23.
