After over 60 years on Route 16, the iconic Chuck Wagon cowboy is heading to a permanent home at the Olean Point Museum.
Steve Teachman of the Olean Historical and Preservation Society eagerly accepted the offer to preserve the beloved wooden figure, which once stood outside the Chuck Wagon restaurant owned by Robert and Judy Styles until its 2017 closure.
The museum already housed memorabilia from the restaurant, but the cowboy completes the collection. Read More... |

The Cattaraugus County SPCA is in need of $6 million for critical renovations to stay open. The shelter is over 50 years old and in need of updates to improve conditions for the animals, staff, and visitors. The renovations will address issues like inadequate ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems as well as improve animal care facilities. The fundraising campaign aims to secure the necessary funds to ensure the long-term viability of the shelter and continue providing care for animals in need. Read More... |

Big 30 Charities Football Classic Kicks Off Saturday |
The annual Big 30 Charities Football Classic is set for Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Parkway Field, Bradford High School.
Gates open at 5:00 PM, giving fans time to enjoy the atmosphere before the 7:00 PM kickoff between graduating seniors from New York and Pennsylvania.
Held at 81 Interstate Parkway in Bradford, PA, this beloved gridiron tradition celebrates local talent and community support, drawing crowds from across the Twin Tiers for a night of spirited competition.

The four New York teams -- two each boys and girls -- completed a sweep of Pennsylvania on Sunday in the NY/PA Corporate Cup Soccer Showcase in Bradford, PA.
