The City of Olean Youth Bureau & Recreation Department is hosting 12 Days of Holiday Skating at the William O. Smith Recreation Center.

Families can enjoy free public skating on select dates in December, with special sponsored days featuring complimentary pizza and winter gear.

This is a great opportunity to celebrate the season and create lasting memories on the ice. Read more!

Wendy's is planning to close a percentage of its U.S. locations, including 200-350 stores out of 6,000 units.

The closures will target underperforming restaurants to free up resources for franchisees.

The Wendy's at 447 N Union St., Olean, NY 14760 could be at risk as smaller markets may be more vulnerable to closure.

Six South Pizza Offering Up Free Community Meals

With SNAP payments on hold, Six South Pizza in Cuba is stepping up to support the community by offering free meals to anyone in need. Their first community meal in early November featured Korean beef, rice, and steamed broccoli — served with no questions asked. People have asked, and the restaurant welcomes monetary donations at their location or via Venmo to help continue this effort.

A big thank you to Six South Pizza for showing compassion and generosity when it’s needed most!
